Tris Lean

Tris Lean, also known as Tris Promethazine Hydrochloride and Codeine Phosphate Oral Solution, is a medication used to treat mild to moderately severe pain and cough. It contains two active ingredients ¹:
– Codeine Phosphate: an opioid pain reliever and cough suppressant
– Promethazine Hydrochloride: an antihistamine that relieves allergy symptoms

Uses Of  Tris codeine

– Temporary relief of coughs and upper respiratory symptoms associated with allergy or the common cold in patients 18 years and older
– Treatment of cold or allergy symptoms such as runny nose, sneezing, and cough

Precautions and Side Effects

– Addiction Risk: Tris codeine contains an opioid and may be habit-forming
– Respiratory Depression: May cause slow or shallow breathing, which can be life-threatening
– Drowsiness and Dizziness: May impair mental and physical abilities
– Contraindicated in Children: Not approved for use in children under 12 years old, and contraindicated in children under 18 years old after tonsillectomy or adenoidectomy
